Pasakha police, Phuentsholing division, arrested a 64-year-old man on 9 November who molested a 13-year-old school going girl.
The victim’s father reported the incident to police after the mother saw a mark on her daughter’s cheek and questioned her about it.
The suspect runs a restaurant in Pasakha where the girl helped to serve and wash dishes.
As per the victim’s statement to police the suspect molested her a few times. “The suspect confessed to the crime and as per the medical report, the mark on victim’s cheek was a ‘suction’ mark. However, the medical report showed no sign of sexual intercourse,” police said.
The case has been forwarded to the office of the attorney general.
