The Phuentsholing police have apprehended three men in connection with the illicit trafficking of controlled substances into Bhutan from Jaigaon.
Following a tip off, police apprehended a 32-year-old man from the Phuentsholing main gate at around 1:30 pm with 12,960 capsules of SP. The man from Balamnang, Haa, was carrying the controlled substances in a black bag and travelling in a vehicle with an Indian number plate.
On questioning the man confessed that he was working with two other people. At around 2:30 pm police apprehended a 29 year old man, from Pam, Trashiyangtse, with 419 bottles of Corex stashed in a private vehicle.
Later at around 7 in the evening police apprehended a 32 year old man from a hotel in Phuentsholing. The man from Darbithang, Sarpang had 17.98 grams of Hashish.
