Accident kills one

A 28-year old male was killed on the spot when the truck he was travelling in met with an accident at Taksha farm road which is about five kilometers away from the Taksha Baazar in Wangduephodrang on the morning of 25 March.

The victim had sustained head injuries and multiple fractures on the body which resulted in instant death. Besides the driver, there were two passengers in the truck.

The deceased was a farmer and from Chaling village in Trashigang.

The Wangduephodrang police said that the cause of the death was due to a mechanical failure. The body was handed over to one of the cousins of the victim and it has been brought to Thimphu for final rites.
