On 23rd May BKP welcomed Mr. Lhakpa Tamang, Mr. Dhan Kumar Ghalley, Dr. Dechen Zangmo and Mr. Dorji Wangchuk to contest for the upcoming National Assembly elections.
Dechen Zam to contesting from Kabji-Talo constituency. She brings with her 29 years of working experience in the education sector. In the past, she headed the English Department at the College of Education and also mentored many Masters students. She has a PhD in Education Curriculum Development and a Masters Degree in Education both from Australia.
Mr. Lhakpa Tamang from Sampheling gewog will contest from Phuentsholing Chukha constituency. He has a Bachelors Degree in Commerce from Royal Thimphu College with 3 years of working experience in managing and implementing occupational hazard and safety standards.
Mr. Dhan Kumar Ghalley from Pemaling gewog will contest from Tashicholing constituency in Samtse. He has 29 years of working experience at managerial levels in the education sector. He served as school principal in Haa, Paro, Trashigang and many other dzongkhags. He has a Masters Degree in Education from Archarya University in India.
Mr. Dorji Wangchuk will contest from Khar-Yurung constituency, Pemagyaltshel. He has a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the College of Science and Technology. He is one of the recipients of the European Education Program from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
On 29th BKP presented (Mr. Thinley Gyaltshen from Chumey-Ura, Mr. Gaylay Jamtsho from Kengkhar-Weringla, Mr. Karma Galay from Drakten-Langthel, Mr. Jigmi Rinzin from Nanong-Shumar, Mr. Yeshey Jamtsho from Nyisho-Sephu, Mr. Kinlay Dorji from Ngalam-Pemagatshel and Mr. Ugyen Tenzin to contest from Limukha-Toewang constituency.
It said that given the importance of youth, BKP has a 20% reserved seat for the youth in terms of candidate composition.
Jigmi Rinzin who will contest from Nanong-Shumar served two terms as a National Council member and Chaired various parliamentary committees. He has a Chartered Certified Accountancy Degree from London, UK and a Bachelors in Commerce Honours degree from Sherubtse College. He began his career in Royal Audit Authority and later worked in Anti-Corruption Commission.
Ugyen Tenzin who will contest from Limukha-Toewang constituency brings with him 16 years of valuable experience serving in many senior capacities with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests. He has a Masters Degree in Agriculture Development from SUTROFOR, Erasmus Mundus, University of Copenhagen, Denmark and a second Masters Degree in Environmental Forestry, School of Environment and Natural Resources, University of Wales, Bangor, UK.
On 31st May BKP introduced Ten Gyamtsho who is to contest the upcoming National Assembly election from Radhi-Sakten constituency. Mr. Gyamtsho is a Civil Engineer with more than 23 years of experience. His career spans serving in various capacities for the Engineering Division of the Royal Bhutan Police throughout the country. He last served as the Executive Engineer at the RBP headquarter.
On 2nd June BKP introduced Mr. Sangay Tenzin to contest from Thrimshing-Kangpara constituency in the upcoming National Assembly election. He has 20 years of experience with the Ministry of Health. He has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Public Health and hails from Ramchingma village, Thrimshing gewog.
On 4th June BKP introduced Mr. Dorji Gyaltshen to contest National Assembly elections from Khamdang-Ramjar constituency, Trashiyangtse. He has five years of experience running a legal firm based in Pling. He has a BALLB Degree from Bengaluru University in India.
