Response to “PM and Ministers eligibility for 2013 in doubt due to Gyelpozhing and ECB rules”

Well, it is very sad yet the truth is open now. I personally met a family whose land got taken in the pretext of a government project. It was 5 acres of land adjacent of the Gyelpozhing town.

The man was saying even now the land is not used but fenced well and he does not know who is doing what with his land.

This mirrors very well the PM’s comments a week ago about the eligibility of the PDP even to run due to their breaking of the ECB rules. So here we have a worse case of breaking the country’s laws and on top of that, even His Majesty’s Kashos.

So if the PM is so keen about following rules, then he should follow this one as well. He can start a new program for ineligible ministers after their term is over.

I am sure ACC will charge them in the court through the Attorney General’s office if there is evidence of corruption or lapses. So, don’t worry, I am sure it will be made clear before filing the nomination. It will be unfair to disqualify people simply because someone is accused by somebody. If that is the case, then, I will hire someone before elections and accuse all my opponents to disqualify them from contesting the election

Elections are just months away. We can prosecute them by voting them out. I admit we may not find a better (in terms of oratory skills and charm) PM than JYT, but we certainly can do without a corrupt PM who grabs land from the common people.

We need leaders who lead by example, not some party that promises “zero tolerance to corruption”, but carries out the most corrupt acts themselves. This is the height of hypocrisy.

I was DPT supporter. But after having gone through your post I changed my mind. I am no more a DPT supporter now. It seems that DPT is always in the mood to defend and not correct their past mistakes.

ACC must really work hard and make those corrupted people answerable to the law. If found guilty they must be put in jail for an indefinite period of time. Not because they are DPT members but because they were protectors of the law at that time.

Response to “No action against Bhutanese officials involved in the multi-billion Bhutan lottery scam”

All the rich people in Bhutan are not born rich. 95% of rich people have accumulated the wealth within a span of 25-30 years in service (This includes almost all ministers and other high profile civil servants and business men).

So the question here is how come these people are able to accumulate such massive wealth in 2-3 decades? I would like to ask ACC to investigate and question these people and let us know the truth.

Response to “Creating a new Crisis?”

The banks have to self-regulate, they can’t be expected to be spoon fed all the time. If the CEO of the bank cannot forecast that unscrupulous lending by the bank could somehow at a later date lead to a credit crunch, than he certainly is not fit to be heading the bank.

  1. I was born and raised in Thimphu,a simple commoner who has witnessed the great transition of my own friends and neighbours become from ordinary to extra ordinarily rich Bhutanese in 10-20 years. If you ask around or do a self research,The DPT heads like JYT,YZ,WN, etc and all other people who are connected to them through relations, marriage or their immediate subordinates have gained from their influences. They have not only  managed to educate all of their children abroad through Govt Scholarships even though their children were average students but if you look around in Thimphu carefully all the top Elite Business people are their relatives ir friends. This is not only the people in DPT but equally in PDP.So now it s the time to rise to shine,Oust both the parties and people should come forward with a new part with new educated people and people who believes in God,Country and their people…

  3. I am now enlightened with the report released by the anti corruption commission. His majesty have issued the kasho for the establishment of the commission and now it’s doing a great job for the nation as a whole. Mt. Tenzin Lamsang’s have been proven very professional and investigative reporter in this urgent need of information “free” society. We would like to thank Mr. Lamsang and his team for bringing this issue and making crystal clear to the innocent public of Bhutan.
