Lyonchhen attends inauguration of Shivalaya Mandir

Upon the Command of His Majesty the King, the Shivalaya Mandir in Gelephu, Sarpang was constructed within one year and its inauguration was attended by Dasho Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister today.

Dasho congratulated the people gathered for the ceremony and said that the mandir is a precious gift from His Majesty the King to the people of Bhutan. Dasho also urged the gathering to take good care of the mandir. “Always remember to pray for the good health and long life of His Majesty the King,” Dasho said.

Expressing his happiness on being present for the occasion, Dasho said that we now have Shivalaya mandir in Samtse, Gelephu and Jomotshangkha. “His Majesty has already commanded the renovation of the mandir in Jomotshangkha and after receiving His Majesty’s blessings, the one is Thimphu will be completed within a month’s time,” Dasho added.

Lyonpo D.N Dungyel and senior government officials from Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs were also present for the inaugural Ceremony.
