Jigme among other candidate holds a Master’s degree in Engineering. He is a detail-oriented engineer by profession with 16 years of experience in the power sector. He has also served as Sr. manager in Electricity Service Division for more than 5 years, delivering electricity services to general public.
If he gets elected then he pledges to shoulder the responsibility of the people with utmost sincerity and dedication and be the change, the change for a vibrant democracy.
Strive to strengthen the rule of law, every interest and rights of all the Bhutanese, comes as his first priority, he further pledged.
Gyeltshen Dukpa served as a chief forestry officer under the then Ministry of Agriculture and Forests. He holds Master of Science in Environment Management and Restoration from Charles Sturt University in Australia.
If he gets elected, he pledges to review the laws and policies to keep abreast with time and generate extra initiative on social developmental issues and review and report on facilities, infrastructures, plan activities and budgets of the dzongkhag.
He also wants to ensure to best utilize the opportunities to represent Bhutan in the best way possible, by initiating discussions on dzongkhag beautification and tourism related business ideas.
Ugyen Dorji, candidate from Wangchang Gewog shared that he would work tirelessly for country, King and the people, and preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and uphold the laws and acts all time, if he gets elected.
He further pledged to review laws, policies and planning up to his best and shall safeguard the security and sovereignty of the country with integrity and credibility.
Ugyen Dorji worked as a contractor and has Bachelor of Electrical and Electrical Engineering from Anna University in Tamil Nadu, India.
Zecko holds Master of Science in Information Technology from King Mongkut’s University of Technology, Thailand and he has worked as a chief trade officer under the Export Promotion Division of the Department of Trade for 11 years prior to joining the politics.
He pledges to review, initiate and change the legislation and policies. He would work towards youth development, review public liability act, promote tourism and towards clean environment.
In addition, working towards providing gender equality to women and children and promoting cultural identity are his other priorities just in case he gets elected.

Ugyen Tshering holds Bachelor of Commerce from Sherubtse College and he has served as National Council member for five years.
