Crematorium at altitude of 4,096 m needs water

Soe, one of the remotest communities under Thimphu dzongkhag, has water facility till its doorsteps but the crematorium in their locality lacks that facility.

Though money was allotted for the project under the 10th Plan, people here, mostly yak headers, are worried that harsh weather, inaccessibility, and thick snow would delay the project. The work has to be completed soon since the budget closes by June. Meanwhile, with  the Austrian Government Corporation, a micro hydel project is being planned in the  4,096 m high gewog.
