The Bhutanese Leading the way.
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) won three seats while Druk Phuensum Tshogpa (DPT) won two seats in Trashigang.
PDP won in the three constituencies of Kanglung-Samkhar-Udzorong, Thrimshing, and Wamrong constituencies, while DPT won in Bartsham-Shongphu and Radhi-Sakteng constituencies. For -Samkhar-Udzorong constituency, PDP’scandidate Norbu Wangchuk secured total votes of 2, 743 votes and beat DPT’s Thinley Palden Dorji with two votes.
While for Dorji Choden from Thrimshing constituency, she secured total votes of 2, 541 and Wamrong constituency’s candidate secured 2, 154 votes.
On the contrary, DPT’s candidate for Bartsham-Shongphu candidate and the former Finance Minister Wangdi Norbu won by securing 3, 540 votes and Radhi-Sakteng Jigme Wangchuk secured 2, 707 votes.
Trashigang, largest of all dzongkhags has total registered voters of 41, 510.
