Three new faces in Gasa for final race

Dorji Khandu

Dorji Khandu, is a recipient of the Trongsa Penlop Scholarship, holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree from Thailand. He also is a recipient of South Asia Foundation Scholarship and holds a Master of Engineering and Management from Sri Lanka.

He has worked as a RJ (Dzongkha) with Kuzoo FM Radio. Other work experience includes his post as a project engineer in various construction companies, a founder and engineer of Dragon Engineering and Construction and also founder and CEO of Dragon Herbs Bhutan.

“As far as the hardships, difficulties and problems faced by our fellow Gasaps, I know their life experience the best, with my own lifestyle. Therefore, I will make sure whatever polices and laws passed, it will be in line with their issues and address their problems,” he said.

His big dream is to support the youth of Gasa through employment opportunities and scholarships programs. “I have the firm conviction and commitment to serve them with the best of my abilities and always support,” he added.

He said he expects himself to be the one who will bring changes in the dzongkhag in the future.

Kinley Dorji

Kinley Dorji holds Bachelors in Commerce. He started his work as a tour guide in the tourism sector. He was a member of National Assembly from Khamoed- Lunana constituency in 2008- 2013 from DPT, and has been doing business till date.

“I would like to thank people of Khamoed gewog for having trust and faith in me. Moreover, I also would like to thank people of Gasa dzongkhag for the opportunity given to me to represent in the First Parliament.”

With his past experience in NA, he said that the people of Gasa knows that he can serve at the local and national level.

Phurb Dorji

Phurb Dorji holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound, Certificate Training in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees.

He was the Head of Department in Obstetrics & Gynecology, JDWNRH. He also has worked as Professor, Dean, FoPG in KGUMSB and was a founder Chairperson in Research Ethics Board of Health (REBH), MoH. He also worked as the Chief Editor of Bhutan Health Journal,

He said that his manifesto is to uphold the Constitution, to act as a bridge between the government and the people in the field. He also said that his manifesto is to initiate and formulate the Health Act and policies to benefit the whole country.

“My manifesto is to also promote Gasa as an organic food production center,” he added.
