Tshewang Rinchen won the NC election race with 5,639 votes from Samdrupjongkhar out of the six participants.
Tshewang Rinchen graduated from Edith Cowan University in Australia with a Master of Business Administration International degree.
His professional work experience includes working as a home minister’s personal secretary at the Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs. He also held positions with the Ministries of Industry, Commerce, and Employment as well as Education and Skills Development.
He claimed that he had sufficient experience in these disciplines throughout the election campaign because he has worked in similar fields and has a background in law and policy making. He consequently pledged to seek to both enact new rules and regulations and alter those that already existed. He promised to assuage the King’s and the people’s worries.
Additionally, he promised to assess how the government performed in relation to issues at the state and local levels, provide helpful comments, examine the 13th five-year plan, and make sure Samdrupjongkhar received a fair share of resources.
