FG Wilson diesel generator powers up

To provide alternative power back-up in emergencies and prompt services during power outages, N.R Industrial Corporation, an authorized sales and service dealer of FG Wilson Diesel Generator launched its first service support office in the capital on August 13.

“This is not time energy for everyday use and is actually an alternative or backup power when there is no power from the hydropower,” managing director of N.R Industrial Corporation, RK Rathi said.

“We felt the importance and need to have a service support office at Thimphu with the increasing population of machines, to ensure that our customers get prompt attention in case of emergencies,” he added.

The machines are installed in various places across the country like Panbang, Tingtibi, Yurmung in Zhemgang, Gasa, Chelela, Deothang, Kanglung and Yongla Gonpa. The first machine was installed in 2004 at Amankora resort, and since then 60 machines have been installed in Bhutan.

“Our machines are installed in some of the remote places in Bhutan and needs attention within the shortest possible time, and I am sure, this office will help us to provide that prompt service”, Rathi said.

The company has plans to extend its service across the country with more machines and more human resource that will be trained in India.

“The service also becomes economical when provided within Bhutan,” Rathi said.

“We have experience in providing back-up power to a spectrum of industries including telecom, tourism, government organizations, airports, financial and educational institutions, residential and commercial buildings, and healthcare among others,” he added.
