Man dies in bolero accident

A  34 year-old man died on the spot after a bolero he was driving went off the road on June 22 at around 6 pm. The deceased was from Lauri, Samdrupjongkhar.

The accident took place at Jomokhandu, which is about 50 km away from Jomotsnagkha police station. The vehicle went about 200 meters off the road.

However, the only passenger, a 37-years-old man from Lauri sustained with a minor injury on his head and is kept under observation in Lauri BHU.

According to police, an eyewitness had said the deceased appeared to be drunk, and the other probable  cause of the accident is to do with the foggy weather at the time.
