Thimphu police have seized 2,236 capsules of SP+, 30 tablets of N10 and 42.23 grams of Hashish in two weeks time, from 26 August to 7. In connection to this, Thimphu police have apprehended 26 suspects including 3 women.
Of the 26 arrests, 11 people who are arrested for drug abuse including two women were forwarded to BNCA. Remaining 15 suspects were arrested for illicit trafficking and illegal possession of controlled substance including one woman.
The arrested suspects are between the age of 15 to 42 years old including 2 students, some are jobless and some are employed. Of the seized, the maximum seizures at one go is 1,580 capsules of SP+ and 14.5 grams of Hashish.
