With the latest increase in fuel prices, the government is now supporting diesel prices by Nu 20.50 per liter.
Without the support the price would be Nu 127.39 per liter but after the price support it comes down to Nu 106.89 per liter in Thimphu up from Nu 104.50 earlier.
The price of petrol has jumped also to Nu 105.56 per liter compared to Nu 99.17 per liter.
Under the National Fuel Price Smoothening Framework (NFPSF), the Government has provided a total of Nu. 2.169 billion in fuel price support from 22 March to 15 September 2026.
